Session: Introducing Coding With Dash Robots
Have you started to hear all about coding and programming in the Elementary classroom but don’t quite understand all the hype? Are you wondering why coding is considered an essential skill for 21st-century learners? Are you interested in learning more, but have no idea where or how to start? Have you seen or heard about students using Dash and Dot Robots in their classroom and are interested to give them a try? This session is intended to introduce participants to coding in a simple, hands-on manner through the use of Dash & Dot Robots (provided) and block programming. We will share best practices and tips for getting started and you will leave this session with ideas and resources for connecting coding into the elementary Ontario Curriculum (even if you don’t have robots in your school!).
